‘It is done’ หรือ ‘it has done’?

เวลาเขียนแบบย่อก็จะเขียนได้เป็น It’s done. Done กรณีนี้ไม่ใช้ กิริยาช่องที่ 3 (past participle) นะ

แต่ Done ในกรณีนี้เป็น Adjective แปลว่า (ทำบางอย่าง)เสร็จ (ใช้บางอย่าง)เสร็จ แปลเหมือน finish เลย

เช่น

I’m nearly done. – ฉันเกือบจะเสร็จแล้ว

Are you done with this computer? – คุณใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ เครื่องนี้เสร็จแล้วหรือยัง

การใช้ another, other, the other และ the others

เรื่องนี้ เป็นเรื่องไม่ง่ายเเหมือนกันนะ แค่ดู วิธีใช้ ข้างล่างนี้ก็อาจทำให้งงได้ แต่ลองดูดีๆ นะไม่ยากเท่าไหร่

วิธีดูก็ดู ตามนี้เลยนะ

1. Singular or Plural ? ดูว่า ที่เราจะเติมเนี่ย มันควรเป็น เอกพจน์ หรือ พหูพจน์

2. เน้น หรือไม่?

3. Adjective or Pronoun? ดูว่าทำตัวเป็น Adjective (คำคุุณศัพท์) หรือ Pronoun (สรรพนาม)

ลองทำข้อสอบกันดูนะ

1) I have two pens. One is black, and ……… is blue.

ตอบ: the other (เน้น เอกพจน์ แทน สรรพนาม)

2) My friend has two cars. One is white and ……… is red.

ตอบ: the other (เน้น เอกพจน์ แทนสรรพนาม)

3) My mom speaks three languages. One is English and ……… one is Thai.

ตอบ: another (ไม่เน้น เอกพจน์ แทนคำคุณศัพท์)

4) There are eight pets in my house. Six are cats and ……… are dogs.

ตอบ: the others (เน้น พหูพจน์ แทนสรรพนาม)

5) My neighbor has five kids. One of them is a boy and ……… are girls.

ตอบ: the others (เน้น พหูพจน์ แทนสรรพนาม)

เคยสงสัยมั้ยว่า ระหว่าง I forget กับ I forgot อันไหนถูก

I forget the key to my car. – ผิดนะ กรณีนี้ ลืมเป็นนิสัยเลย

I forgot the key to my car. – ฉันลืมกุญแจรถ

I forget his name. – ผิดนะ กรณีนี้ ลืมเป็นนิสัยเหมือนกัน

I forgot his name. – ฉันลืมชื่อเขา (ตอนนี้จำไม่ได้)

I forgot to close the door.  ฉันลืมที่จะปิดประตู

แต่ถ้า I forgot closing the door. ฉันลืมว่า ฉันได้ปิดประตูไป

ดังนั้น I forgot ก็จะใช้เป็นส่วนใหญ่นะ

การใช้ remember ก็คล้ายๆ forgot เลย ใช้เป็นกิริยาช่อง 2 – remembered

He remembered to do it – เขาจำได้ถึงสิ่งที่ต้องทำ

แต่ถ้า He remembered doing it – เขาจำได้ว่า ได้ทำสิ่งนั้นไปแล้ว

I remembered to set the alarm clock. – ฉันจำได้ว่า ฉันต้องตั้งนาฬิกาปลุก (จำได้แล้วก็ค่อยตั้ง)

แต่ถ้า I remembered setting the alarm clock. – ฉันจำได้ว่า ฉันได้ตั้งนาฬิกาปลุกไปแล้ว
